Judge Sharon Marchman of Monroe, LA; Dumbo, loser

The state of Louisiana provided Sharon Marchman with a law license in 1985 after she graduated from the Louisiana State University (LSU) Law School.

The Judiciary Commission of Louisiana found Sharon guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Sharon filed a frivolous (sham) lawsuit she filed against several Fourth Judicial District Court officials, including law clerk Allyson Campbell, for allegedly retaliating against her and violating her constitutional rights when she tried to uncover Ms. Campbell’s alleged payroll fraud and destruction of court documents. (Zach Parker)

A panel of three judges on the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals questions whether Sharon had sufficiently established a claim and/or cause of action for her so-called lawsuit during a hearing held in in early January 2018 in New Orleans. During the hearing, the Circuit Judges asked Judge Marchman’s attorney, Joe Ward Jr. to show the court why Marchman had a right to sue. The panel specifically asked Ward to identify Marchman’s specific cause of action and/or whether she had suffered any adverse employment action, or a retaliatory act by people in positions of authority over her.

Mr. Ward’s answers clearly failed to satisfy the appellate judge, who repeated their inquiries throughout the hearing. Some of the judges comments are as follows:

Judge Higginson:

“It’s ugly.”

“It’s outcast, but it’s hard to see that as an adverse employment action.”

“That’s just what I come back to.”

Judge Higginbotham:

“What’s your cause of action?”

“I understand everybody’s irritated, if I’m being polite, with one another and you’re not communicating.”

“I’ve read through this file two or three times, and I keep coming away, saying that’s like a bad neighborhood.”

“Judges not getting along. I can’t imagine that not happening.”

“In a collegial environment, you’re going to have disagreements.”

All that remains now is to see how long it take the three appellate judges to dismiss Judge Marchman’s sham lawsuit by telling her basically to take a hike.

If things were truly just and fair, the appellate court should order that Judge Marchman be made to pay the attorney fees incurred by the defendants she baselessly sued and for all court costs incurred by the government. At a minimum, that’d send a lesson to her and any other loser judge or lawyer for that matter that decided to waste judicial resources by pursuing frivolous claims.

As we speak (ca. October 2018), Judge Marchman continues to sit as a Fourth Judicial District Juvenile Drug Court judge in Monroe, Louisiana.
