Attorney Victor Bargen of Winnipeg, CAN; liar, repeat offender

The Law Society of Manitoba presented Victor Bargen with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Manitoba Law School.

The Manitoba Barrister’s Society found Vic guilty of the following misconduct.

Vic’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to comply with trust condition imposed by another lawyer
• Engaged in professional misconduct
• Acting for clients in a matter and then later acting against the same clients in the same or a related matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Vic by gifting him with a complimentary $1,500 fine and costs of $3,000.

Vic’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to comply with trust condition imposed by another lawyer
• Misled (lied) to client regarding status of her legal proceedings
• Failed to respond to client communications
• Failed to advise client of adjournment of hearing in divorce matter
• Authored client’s financial statement that he knew was inaccurate
• Engaged in professional misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Vic by gifting him with a complimentary $5,000 fine and costs of $5,000.

As we speak (ca. January 2018), Vic practices with the Bargen Brown LLP at 363 Broadway in Winnipeg, Canada.
