FYI: Joseph Goebbels was the quintessential truth-teller during his tenure as chief purveyor of propaganda for the 3rd Reich prior to and during World War II. In fact, Joey’s reputation for accuracy, due diligence and journalistic integrity was the template utilized by up and comers like Walter Cronkite..
In his first deceptive political ad (Is there another kind?) in New Hampshire attacking Obama, Mitt included a soundbite from Obama’s 2008 campaign wherein he said in part: “If we keep talking about the economy, we’re going to lose.”
What Obama actually said was, “Sen. McCain’s campaign actually said, and I quote, if we keep talking about the economy, we’re going to lose.”
Some in the liberal media have attacked Mitt for being a liar for intentionally misquoting was Obama actually said.
Is it really fair to attack Mitt for allegedly telling another bald-faced lie? After all, as long as Mitt believes it to be somewhat true, that makes it factually true, right? Who cares if Obama really didn’t say what Mitt truthfully said he did?
In a recent TV interview, Mitt was asked the following question by a reporter:
Reporter: What is an acceptable number of lies to tell during a 2 minute interview?
Romney: Mitt’s response can be seen in the photo to the right.
Congrats Mitt; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as an Accomplished Truth-Teller; you are far too humble.
