Attorney Thomas Carruth of Clarendon, AR; cheating liar

The state of Arkansas presented Thomas David Carruth with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Filed attorney lien v. client at $150 per hour when contract called for $100 an hour fee
  • Revealed confidential client information
  • Terminated client representation w/o obtaining court authorization
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Knowingly disobeyed court order
  • Failed to provide client file to client upon termination
  • Refused to follow court order to provide client file to new counsel by demanding copy costs from the newly employed attorney
  • Filed complaint for Attorney’s Lien stating his client owned him $22,237.50 for 148.25 hours at $150 per hour when lawful charge was $14,825 at hourly rate of $100.00
  • Made a false statement of material fact to a tribunal
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary caution.

As we speak (May 2019), Danny practices in Clarendon, Arkansas.
