Attorney Scott McElveen of Bentonville, AR; ethical dwarf

The state of Arkansas presented Scott M. McElveen with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University Arkansas at Little Rock Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Scottie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to explain to client his rights under the laws dealing with COBRA thereby depriving him of the opportunity to avail himself to his rights thereunder
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Failed to provide competent representation (imbecile)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Scottie by gifting him with a complimentary caution.
