Attorney Frank Shaw of Conway, AR; slacker, serial offender

The state of Arkansas presented Frank E. Shaw with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University Arkansas at Little Rock Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Frankie guilty of the following misconduct.

In addition to the two (2) instances of misconduct set forth below, Frankie previously received five (5) complimentary reprimands and two (2) complementary caution for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

Frankie’s 8^th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to timely file record with appellate court
• Failed to obtain order extending time to file record with appellate court
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Frankie by gifting him with a complimentary caution.

Frankie’s 9^th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to abide by client’s decisions re: objectives of representation
• Failed to consult with client as to means by which client objectives were to be pursued
• Failed to promptly respond to client information requests
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to refund unearned fee (cheater)
• Failed to expedite client litigation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Frankie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
