Attorney Jason Watson of Fayetteville, AR; slacker

The state of Arkansas presented Jason Lee Watson with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University Arkansas at Little Rock Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Jason guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to promptly respond to client information requests
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Violated or attempted to violate the rules of professional conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or dis so through the acts of another
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Jason by gifting him with a complimentary caution.
