Attorney Joshua McHughes of Little Rock; repeat offender

The state of Arkansas presented Joshua Edgar McHughes with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from the University Arkansas at Little Rock Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Josh guilty of the following misconduct.

Josh’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to consult with client re: debt collection cases
• Failed to abide by client decisions regarding client objectives
• Failed to provide client with written fee agreement
• Failed to file client funds into identifiable client trust account
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to maintain trust account records for required 5 years
• Assisted nonlawyer in illegal practice of law

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Josh by gifting him with a complimentary caution.

Josh’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Improperly communicated with a party represented by counsel
• Used means that had no substantial purpose other than to embarrass, delay or burden a third person
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Josh by gifting him with a complimentary caution.

As we speak (April 2019), Josh practices with the McHughes Law Firm PLLC in Little Rock, Arkansas.
