Attorney Vance Curtis of Tipton, IN; ethical gremlin

The state of Indiana presented Vance Wright Curtis with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Maryland Law School.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Vance guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as an assistant Tipton County prosecutor.

In one matter, Vance represented a client when simultaneously, as a prosecutor, he was participating in an investigation of the client without consulting the client or the state about the dual representation.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Vance by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2018), Vance practices with the Curtis Law Office at 128 East Jefferson Street in Tipton, Indiana.
