Judge Dennis W. Humphrey of Kingston, TN: moron, Il Duce Wannabee, loser  
FYI: Il Duce is none other than the late dictator and ally of Adolph Hitler, Benito Mussolini.
Unfortunately for the good folks of Kingston, Tennessee (35 miles west of Knoxville) Dennis Humphrey sits as a General Sessions Court Judge with Juvenile Court Jurisdiction.
During his unremarkable tenure on the bench, Dennis presided over a case involving Darrell Pearson. In this case, Dennis ordered that Mr. Pearson appear before him on a contempt of court charge.
Tennessee law required that Mr. Pearson be personally served with a notice for a contempt hearing. In this instance the notice was by publication in a local paper, a fact known to Judge Humphrey.
Subsequently, Dennis ordered Pearson’s arrest for not appearing at the contempt hearing even though he knew there was no “personal service” of the hearing notice on Pearson.
After Pearson’s arrest, Il Duce ordered him imprisoned until he paid a $5,000 fine to purge himself of an illegal contempt finding.
As a result of Il Duce’s illegal conduct, Pearson was incarcerated for sixty-eight (68) days. Pearson then filed an ethics complaint with the Tennessee Judicial Commission.
The Commission found Pearson guilty of violating Pearson’s basic due process rights under the US and Tennessee Constitutions. The Dufus was also found guilty of failing to follow the law on contempt.
As a consequence of his egregious misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Court of the Judiciary punished Dennis by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. Aug 2011) Dennis the Loser remains on the bench in Kingston, TN.
