Attorney Gilbert Cauthon of Gainesville, FL; Dumbo, slacker

The state of Florida provided Gilbert Ray Cauthon with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of Florida Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Gil guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to explain matter to extent reasonably necessary to allow client to make informed decisions regarding representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Gil by gifting him with a complimentary 10-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2017), Gil is employed by the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
