Judge Henry Rawson of Okanogan, WA; Dumbo, slacker

 

The state of Washington provided Henry Rawson with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from the University of Washington Law School.

 

The Washington Commission on Judicial Conduct found Hank guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failing to issue timely decisions pending cases in violation of the Washington Constitution
  • Allowed 12 months to lapse prior to issuing decision
  • Allowed 15 months to lapse prior to issuing decision
  • Allowed 13 months to lapse prior to issuing decision
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Violated law requiring judges to decide cases within 90 days after each case is submitted to the court for a decision
  • Failed to comply with the law
  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary ‘
  • Failed to avoid impropriety or appearance of impropriety
  • Failed to perform judicial duties competently (Dumbo) 

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Hank by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (ca. September 2017), Hank continues to sit as an Okanogan County Superior Court Judge in Okanogan, Washington.
