Attorney Kevin Duffy of Clay, WV; idiotic slacker

The state of West Virginia presented Kevin C. Duffy with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of West Virginia Law School.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Kevin guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Breached duty he owed to his clients
• Pled guilty to one count of disorderly conduct
• Failed to advise trial judge he didn’t appear at client’s scheduled hearing because he had been arrested on several criminal charges
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Kevin!)
• Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
• Failed to expedite client litigation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Failed to appear at hearings on behalf of client
• Pled guilty to driving under the influence (DUI)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Kevin by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Kevin practices in Clay, West Virginia.
