Attorney Steven Pier of Yankton, SD; thieving liar

The state of South Dakota presented Steven Lee Pier with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of South Dakota Law School.

The South Dakota State Bar Disciplinary Board found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Cashed two client certificates of deposit for $46,000 involving probate funds of her late husband’s estate
  • Deposited the $46,000 into his own checking account
  • Over four months, spent the entire $46,000 for his personal benefit (thief)
  • Lied to client and Yankton bank about location of the $46,000

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Dakota Supreme Court punished Harry by gifting him with a complimentary revocation of his law license with the caveat that he could be reinstated at a later date.

Because Attorney Misfits in South Dakota are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Stevie was never criminally charged with grand theft.

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Stevie practices at 322 Walnut Street in Yankton, South Dakota.
