Attorney Frederick Merrill of Everett, WA; deceitful scammer

The state of Washington provided Frederick Howard Merrill with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Seattle University Law School.

The Washington State Bar found Freddy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Placed misleading advertisements
• Falsely advertised he had over 20 years court experience even though he had only received his law license six years earlier
• Laughingly claimed years as probation officer, juvenile and adult counselor, prison guard and parole officer counted towards false claim of 20 years of court experience
• Client testified he was led to believe Freddy had 20 years of experience practicing law per his advertisement of 20 years of court experience, which led him to hire him to defend him in a criminal matter
• Violated prohibition re: communicating services that misrepresent the truth

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Freddy by gifting him with a complimentary censure. 

As we speak (ca. September 2017), Freddy practices the Law Office of Rick H. Merrill at 3625 Colby Avenue in Everett, Washington.
