Attorney Mark Carter of Vancouver, WA; Dumbo

The state of Washington provided Mark Andrew Carter (MAC) with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from George Washington University Law School.

The Washington State Bar found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Failed to keep client reasonably informed of status of matter
• Failed to advise clients of requirement to list all property they had transferred the prior year on bankruptcy petition
• Filed to motion to dismiss client’s Chapter 13 bankruptcy filing without the required notice to the bankruptcy trustee

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
