Today’s “Fleece-Flocker” Award Winner is Dr. Tony Evans of Dallas
Dr. Tony Evans is yet another co-sponsor of a prayer fest being hosted by the American Family Association in conjunction with Texas Gov. Rick Perry that is being held on Aug 6 at the Reliant Center in Houston. (See URLs of Tony’s Fleece-Flocker compatriots at end of this article)
On his self-serving web site, Tony has the chutzpah to claim he is “one of the country’s most respected leaders in evangelical circles.” Tony goes on to laughingly state that “millions of lives have been changed by his unique ability to present simply, yet profound real-life illustrations to communicate biblical principles…” Clearly Tony missed his calling as a standup comedian!
To be fair to Tony the Tiger, he is but one of many upstanding Fleece-Flockers, some of whom are listed at the end of this article
Dr. Evans finds it acceptable to fleece members of his flock by charging exorbitant prices for books and/or DVDs. In fact, Tony finds it acceptable to hose his clients by billing 10 to 12 times more for a book then it can be bought for at Amazon.com. What a guy, right?
