Attorney Robert Cardali of New York City; scammer
The state of New York presented Robert Cardali with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Hofstra University Law School.
In one matter, Bobby filed a sham defamation lawsuit against a former business partner Richard Slater who rightfully called him a “common criminal.” In truth, was Mr. Slater really being fair to criminals by calling Bobby a “common criminal”?
The claimed defamation took place after Bobby fired Mr. Slater and after Slater discovered that Bobby double-billed former client Winsbert Spence when he billed him $8,400 for appellate work even though no appeal was ever filed. Slater then penned the following note:
Subsequently, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arlene Bluth dismissed Bobby’s sham lawsuit by stating in part that “Truth is an absolute defense” to a defamation claim. Justice Bluth went on to state in her ruling:
Justice Bluth went on to state:
It is thoroughly disgusting that an attorney would have the chutzpah to bill a client for appellate work that never took place and then claim he was defamed when his ex-partner outed him as a “common criminal.”
The truth of the matter is that “Bobby is Defamation Proof.” Put simply, how do you defame an attorney that cheerfully bills a client for work that was never performed? However, to be fair to Bobby, I’m sure he would have a valid defamation lawsuit if someone were to accuse him of being “an extremely ethical attorney.”
As we speak (ca. June 2017), Bobby practices with Robert A. Cardali & Associates LLP at 39 Broadway in New York, New York. |
