Attorney David Bean of Strasburg, VA; lying loser

The state of Virginia presented David H.N. Bean with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Richmond Law School.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Filed false expert witness designations in three medical malpractice cases
  • Designated seven physicians as expert witnesses and summarized their opinions in support of each of the cases, when none of the physicians had agreed to serve as expert witnesses, reviewed the plaintiffs' medical records, or were willing to offer opinions that supported the plaintiffs' cases
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Knowingly made false statement to trial court judge
  • Knowingly made a sham (frivolous) discovery demand
  • Advised client to disregard court ruling
  • Knowingly made a false statement of fact
  • Failed to act fairly towards opposing party and counsel

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Dave practices at 258 West King Street in Strasburg, Virginia.
