The Law Society presented Alastair Lindsay Cowan with a law license in 2000.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Al guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Al prepared and completed a letter which inaccurately significantly overstated the level of his salary knowing that the information would be used by a lender in processing his mortgage application. In so acting Al brought his personal integrity into disrepute (What integrity?).

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Al by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. June 2017), Al practices with Gateley LLP at 19 Canning Street in Edinburgh, Scotland.
