Solicitor John Aitken of Glasgow, Scotland; ethical dwarf

The Law Society presented John Knox Aitken with a law license in 1997.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in repeated breaches of Solicitors Accounts Certificate
  • Failed to protect interests of lending institutions to their clients
  • Failed to protect client interests by unreasonably delaying the presentation conveyancing deeds for registration
  • Failed to protect lending institution client interests by drawing attention to unusual occurrences in the conveyancing transactions in which they were instructed

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure and a fine in the sum of £5,000.

As we speak (ca. July 2017), Johnny practices with Robert Thomas & Caplan Solicitors at 365 Victoria Road in Glasgow, Scotland.
