Solicitor Hector Ekes of New South Wales; ethical goblin

The Law Society of New South Wales presented Hector Ekes with a law license in 2001.

The Legal Services Commissioner found Hector guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to pay counsel fees in relation to invoices for at least 2 months
  • Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Hector!)
  • Failed to comply with Section 660 Notice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Legal Services Commission punished Hector by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2017), Hector practices with Gardner Ekes Lawyers at 82 Elizabeth Street in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
