Solicitor Herbert Weller of New South Wales; ethical goblin

The Law Society of New South Wales presented Herbert Hugo Weller with a law license in 1977.

The Legal Services Commissioner found Herbie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct
• Failed to provide costs disclosure
• Failure to notify client of material change in costs
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Failed to make withdrawals from trust account when required to do so

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Legal Services Commission punished Herbie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
