Solicitor Fe Mercader of Victoria, AUS; cheating Dumbo

The Law Society of New South Wales presented Fe Mercader with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from Dalhousie University Law School.

The Legal Services Commissioner found Fe guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct
• Failed to act with due diligence (Slacker)
• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Attempted to charge client excessive/illegal fee (crook)
• Engaged in conduct causing adversary to incur unnecessary expenses
• Prevented settlement of a matter otherwise easily settled
• Improper contact with person she knew was represented by counsel

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Legal Services Commission punished Fe by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2017), Fe practices at 203-205 Blackburn Road in Mount Waverly, Victoria, Australia.
