Attorney Michael King of Hot Springs, AR; thief, repeat offender

The state of Arkansas presented Michael J. King with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

Mike’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to fulfill contract of employment
• Failed to respond to numerous client calls
• Failed to advise client of status of legal matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to refund unearned fee (thief)
• Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests after termination

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary caution.

Mike’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Charged and collected clearly excessive fee (cheater)
• Abandoned his client after collecting over $14,000 in fees
• Failed to provide client with any accounting of $14,000 paid in fees
• Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests after termination
• Failed to refund unearned fee of $8,000 (thief)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (October 2017), Mike practices at 116 Wintergreen Court in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
