Attorney Leslie Wilson of San Antonio; ethical elf

The state of Texas presented Leslie Lashelle Wilson with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from St. Mary’s University Law School.

The District 6-A Grievance Committee found Leslie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to pursue client’s legal matters
• Negligence led to statute of limitations tolling on client’s claims
• Failed to provide client with written fee agreement

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Leslie by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Leslie.
