Solicitor Phillip Barton of Australia; cheating loser

The Victoria Law Society presented Phillip Nunn Barton with a law license in 1977.

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct
  • Participated in acts designed to withhold payment of disbursement amounts
  • Persistently acted in gross breach of professional duty
  • Engaged in disgraceful and/or dishonorable conduct
  • Failed to make prompt payment of third party fees incurred in ordinary course of advising clients
  • Engaged in gravest kind of wrongful conduct
  • Improperly retained unearned client funds for inordinate periods of time

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Administrative Council punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary 9-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2017), Phil practices in Victoria, Australia.
