Attorney Michael Corrales of Lawton, OK; convicted batterer

The state of Oklahoma presented Michael Joseph Lawton with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Tulsa Law School.

The Oklahoma Bar Association found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Mike entered into an Alford plea (guilty in reality) to one count of Assault and Battery.

Mike willfully and unlawfully committed an assault and battery upon his girlfriend, Kimberly Leonard, by grabbing her hair and striking her head into the dashboard of a vehicle and grabbing her about the arms and neck with force and violence.

Mike was fined $1,000 plus court costs and ordered to complete anger management counseling. An unreliable source indicated that Mike opted to receive his anger management counseling from Mel Gibson and the Gibson Institute for Cowardly Batterers located in West Hollywood, California.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oklahoma Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2017), Mike practices at 602 Southwest D Avenue in Lawton, Oklahoma.
