God guilty of Polluting Chesapeake Bay sez Rep. Scott Perry (PA)

During a town hall gathering in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, U.S. Rep. Scott Perrywas asked if he supported the cuts to the EPA budget in light of Pennsylvania’s “history of environmental problems.” (Ed Mazza)

During the gathering, the following discussion took place between Scottie and an attendee.

ATTENDEE:

  • “Don’t we need a stronger EPA to protect the environment?”

SCOTTIE:

  • “Chesapeake Bay strategy was forced on the state and left some violators [polluters] out.”
  • “And by the way, some violators ― if you believe in, if you’re spiritual and you believe in God ― one of the violators was God, because the forests were providing a certain amount of nitrates and phosphates to the Chesapeake Bay.”

So here we have someone stating that the pollution in the Chesapeake Bay is God’s fault. I suppose Scottie the Screwball (SS) would also have us believe that God was at fault for the following events.

  1. Sherwin Williams’ dumping of chemical waste into the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland
  2. Hooker Chemical dumping of toxins into the Love Canal in Niagara Falls
  3. Union Carbide in Bhopal, India to exposing 500,000 people to methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas and other chemicals leading to the death of 22,000 inhabitants

Hopefully, polluters in the Chesapeake Bay area have agreed to reimburse Scottie for the costs he incurred in purchasing a pair of Industrial Strength Knee Pads.
