Today’s “Hyperbole (BS)” Award Winner is Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA)
Congratulations to….
Sen. Chuck Grassley
Today’s “Hyperbole (BS)” Award Winner
Since coming to the US Senate in 1981, Chuck has been a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Recently, President Obama nominated Goodwin Liu to a seat on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
On May 18, 2011, Chuck voted to deny Goodwin Liu an up or down vote by the whole senate. In a lame attempt at levity, Chuck stated that one of the primary reasons he voted against Goodwin Liu to sit on the Court of Appeals was “because he lacked any prior judicial experience.”
Chucky’s comment is pure BS because he did not vote against any of the 82 Republican nominees for seats on the Court of Appeals who had absolutely no prior judicial experience, which are listed in Table 2 at the end of this article. And that list includes alleged luminaries such as those in Table 1 below.

It should also be noted that Chuck voted in favor of 389 Republican nominees for District Court judgeships since his tenure as a U.S. Senator. The list of those 389 judges can be found at the URLs below.

Could it be possible that the reason Chuck voted to seat the 471 Republican judicial appointees was because he determined that they unlike Goodwin Liu were upstanding Christians who pro life and certified family values gurus?
Congrats Chuck; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as a practicing dispenser of bullshit; you are far too humble.
