Attorney James Lewis of Nashville; ethical gremlin

The state of Tennessee presented James Bryan Lewis with a law license in 1991 after he graduated the University of Tennessee Law School.

In one matter, Bryan requested and received special treatment from Judge Casey Moreland on behalf of his client, developer David Chase.

The favor involved the prior arrest of Mr. Chase who had been accused of assaulting his girlfriend. It stems from a case where Lewis requested and received special treatment from Judge Casey Moreland on behalf of his client, developer David Chase.

In the summer of 2014, Chase was arrested after being accused of assaulting a girlfriend he had been involved with. After his arrest, Chase called Jimmy to have him represent him. Jimmy then called his friend, Judge Moreland, which led to special treatment for his client Chase.

Rather than spending the mandatory 12 hours in jail for assaulting his girlfriend, Chase was released as a favor pursuant to an order issued by Judge Moreland shortly after his arrest. For a story dealing with Judge Moreland’s misconduct, visit the URL listed at the end of this article.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2017), Jimmy practices at 214 Second Avenue North in Nashville, Tennessee.
