Attorney Michael Decanio of Romeoville, IL; imbecile, slacker

The state of Illinois presented Michael J. Dicanio with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Illinois Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

• Breached his fiduciary duties as escrow agent of $25,000 received from his client by neglecting to properly supervise the activities of his secretary
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to provide competent representation (imbecile)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Mike.

As we speak (February 2017), Mike practices at 503 Concord Avenue in Romeoville, Illinois.
