Attorney Ronald Nichols of Carlisle, AR; slacker, serial offender

The state of Arkansas presented Ronald Carey Nichols with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Ronnie guilty of the following misconduct.

Prior to the following misconduct, Ronnie received three (3) complimentary cautions and one (1) suspension for engaging in a variety of misconduct. 

Ronnie’s 5^th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to take steps to expedite client litigation
• Failed to comply with the order of the Arkansas Supreme Court
• Found to be in contempt of Supreme Court order
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• For over a year, failed to perfect appeal on behalf of client

Ronnie’s 6^th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to file timely file appellate brief on client’s behalf
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Knowingly disobeyed obligation owed under rules of a tribunal

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (June 2017), Ronnie practices in Carlisle, Arkansas.
