Attorney Johnny Gross of Bentonville, AR; Dumbo, serial offender

 

The state of Arkansas presented Johnny E. Gross with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

 

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Johnny’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Johnny!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 

Johnny’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  • Knowingly disobeyed obligation owed under rules of a tribunal
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to advise client he wouldn’t appear at meeting of creditors
  • Knowingly made false statement of material fact to a tribunal
  • Found in contempt of court
  • Failed to pay $1,000 court fine re: contempt of court ruling
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

 

Johnny’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  • Failed to abide by client decisions re: representation
  • Failed to consult with client as to the means to achieve client objectives
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to promptly respond to client information requests
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to file Notice of Appeal on behalf of his client
  • Knowingly disobeyed obligation owed under rules of a tribunal
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

 

Johnny’s 4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to advise client of his right to testify at his trial
  • Failed to formulate any kind of trial strategy
  • Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  • Failed to communicate a better plea offer to client
  • Failed to abide by client decisions re: representation
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest involving two clients
  • Improperly communicated with represented party
  • Improperly solicited client in capital murder case
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to provide effective representation in capital murder case

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 12-month suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (June 2017), Johnny practices at 2502 Linebarger Lane in Bentonville, Arkansas.
