Attorney Michael Frey of Camden, AR; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Arkansas presented Michael William Frey with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

Mike’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to verify that all creditors in bankruptcy had been identified
• Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
• Failed to sign bankruptcy schedules
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Failed to take steps to expedite client litigation
• Violated or attempted to violate the rules of professional conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or dis so through the acts of another.

Mike’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary caution.
