The state of Arkansas presented F. David Rees with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

 

The Committee on Professional Conduct found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Prior to the following misconduct, Dace received one (1) complimentary caution for engaging in a variety of misconduct. 

 

Dave’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to promptly respond to client information requests
  • Knowingly disobeyed obligation owed under rules of a tribunal
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

 

Dave’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Improperly provided financial assistance to a client in connection with pending litigation and/ or contemplated future litigation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary caution.

 

Dave’s 4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to abide by client decisions re: representation
  • Failed to consult with client as to the means to achieve client objectives
  • Coerced client in having sexual relations under the guise or pretext of his alleged imminent filing of her Vioxx lawsuit
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (July 2017), Dave practices in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
