Attorney Jolene Blair of Ft. Collins, CO; liar, de facto criminal, ethical gremlin
Unfortunately, the Colorado Surpeme Court made a monumental error in judgment when it gifted Jolene Blair with a law license in 1986.
In the mid-1990s, Blair was employed as an assistant prosecutor in Fort Collins. In 1999, Blair was one of two persecutors, I’m sorry I mean prosecutors that tried the murder case of Tim Masters.
While presiding over the Masters Murder trial, Jolene and her partner in crime, prosecutor Terry Gilmore engaged in a scheme wherein they intentionally concealed exculpatory evidence (tending to prove innocence) from Masters’ defense attorney. She also suborned and/or schemed to elicit false testimony in securing an illegal murder conviction of Mr. Masters.
As recompense for her despicable conduct in obtaining a sham murder conviction, Jolene was rewarded by being appointed to a judgeship in Ft. Collins.
Ten years after Jolene engaged in actual and/or quasi-criminal conduct in obtaining a conviction against Mr. Masters, it was reversed due to her egregious misconduct. In 2010, Larimer County agreed to pay Masters $4.1 million and the City of Fort Collins $5.9 million for the wrongful conviction visited upon him by the dastardly conduct of Jolene Blair.
In total the costs to the good citizens Colorado, Larimer County and Ft. Collins for the misconduct of Jolene Blair easily exceeded $12 million.
Subsequently, the enablers and apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Jolene Blair for her misconduct by gifting her with a complimentary censure. This lack of real punishment only further proves that Attorney/Judicial Misfits are held to a lower standard of conduct then we are.
If the term “equal justice for all” really meant anything, then Jolene should have been permanently disbarred, criminally charged for her conduct, and then incarcerated for at least 10 years.
Trust me folks, if this was done, you wouldn’t likely see anymore loser prosecutors like Jolene engaged in fixing criminal cases in order to put a notch on their belts.
As we speak (ca. May 2011) this certified loser is now employed by a law firm that goes by the name of: Montgomery Kolodny Amatuzio & Dusbabek in Fort Collins.
