Attorney Nick Goyak of Tualatin, OR; rubber check devotee

The state of Oregon provided Nick I. Goyak with a law license in 1966 after he graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School.

The Oregon State Bar Court found Nicky guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in criminal conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Wrote four checks to City of Portland on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Nicky!)
  • Failed to maintain complete trust account records
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Acted with dishonest or selfish motive

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Nicky by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

Because Oregon Attorney Misfits are held to a lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Nicky was never criminally prosecuted for writing bad checks.

As we speak (June 2017), Nicky practices with Goyak & Associates PC at 8215 SW Tualatin Sherwood Road in Tualatin, Oregon.
