Solicitor Karen Paterson of Scotland; ethical dwarf

The Law Society presented Karen Stedward Paterson with a law license in 1978.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Karen guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct
• Acted in manner calling into question her integrity
• Failed to act in manner consistent with mutual trust and confidence by accepting improper instructions to draft a Will
• Took no steps to advise testator of legal consequences of signing Will
• Failed to advise testator to seek independent legal advice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Karen by gifting him with a complimentary censure. 

As we speak (ca. December 2016), Karen practices with Brown & McRae at 9-11 Firthside Street in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Edinburgh, Scotland.
