The Law Society of New Zealand presented William Gerald Korver with a law license in 1987.

The found New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to observe professional duties when dealing with $60,000 in client funds
• Failed to adequately advise client re: mortgage transaction
• Engaged in conflict of interest in representing buyer, seller and lender
• Failed to account for client funds
• Failed to provide client with statement of transactions

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Zealand Disciplinary Tribunal punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
