Barrister Anja Klinkert of New Zealand; lying loser

The Law Society of New Zealand presented Anja Karen Evelyn Klinkert with a law license in 1995.

The found New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Anja guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Submitted false statement to support client’s sham claim for gov’t benefits
• Created shame invoice in attempt to defraud government agency
• Pled guilty to criminal use of document to obtain pecuniary advantage
• Convicted of crime and fined $750

As a consequence of her misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Zealand Disciplinary Tribunal punished Anja by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.
