Attorney Jamie Turner of Winnipeg, CAN; ethical gremlin

The Law Society of Manitoba presented Jamie Turner with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Manitoba.

The Law Society Disciplinary Committee found Jamie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to respond to opposing counsel communications
• Failed to submit order to court reducing client’s child support payments
• Negligence in submitting child support order led to client’s wages being attached

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Jamie by gifting her with a complimentary $1,500 fine.

As one would suspect, Jaimie’s law firm fails to disclose his misconduct on its self-serving website which can be found at http://www.pkflawyers.com/jamie-turner.asp. Apparently, they decided to conceal this relevant information from future clients in order to not limit their future victim pool.
