Attorney James Vavasour of Newfoundland, CAN; ethical misfit

The Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador presented James E. Vavasour with a law license in 1974.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Disciplinary Committee found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to abide by commitment re: representation of the City of St. John’s
  • Failed to appeal decisions on specified dates
  • Engaged in conduct unbecoming member of Law Society

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2016), Jimmy practices with McNab Vavasour Byrne & Fagan at 70 Portugal Cove Road in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.
