The state of Washington presented Rene Erm II with a law license in 1984.

The Washington State Bar found Rene guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in neglect
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to explain matters to the extent necessary to allow a client to make informed decisions
• Failed to obtain court permission to withdraw as counsel
• Failed to protect client interests upon being terminated

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Rene by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.
