Attorney Gene Tunnell of Kingsport, TN; scammer

The state of Tennessee presented Gene H. Tunnell with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Gene guilty of the following misconduct.

In a case in the Sullivan County Law Court, he filed a proposed Agreed Order of Continuance containing the signatures of three other attorneys involved in the case.  One signature was noted as being made by "G.H.T.", while the other two contained no such notation.  The latter two attorneys did not authorize their signatures on the document and actually opposed the continuance.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Gene by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2016), Gene practices at 1349 Linville Street in Kingsport, Tennessee.
