The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Al guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Mishandled trust funds he held as trustee for his clients

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Al by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

In one matter, Al improperly entered into a contract with another attorney to share a percentage of gross settlements or verdict amounts with a paralegal on cases the paralegal had worked on which either went to trial or were settled.
