Attorney Jonathan Draper of Anniston, AL; cheating slacker

The state of Alabama presented Jonathan Lee Draper with law license in 1998 after he graduated from Samford University Law School.

The Alabama State Bar Association Jon guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter
• Failed on more than one occasion to appear at promised meeting with client
• Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to allow client to make informed decisions regarding representation
• Failed to take necessary steps to protect client’s interest after termination
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
• Failed to meet with client on hearing date
• Willfully neglected legal matter entrusted to him
• Failed to return unearned fees (cheater)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Jon by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2016), Jon practices in Anniston, Alabama.
