Attorney Todd Barksdale of Talladega, AL; serial scofflaw

The state of Alabama presented Todd Houston Barksdale with law license in 1996 after he graduated from the Mississippi College of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association Todd guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  • commit a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects
  • Recorded sham mortgages at the courthouse
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Stated or implied ability to influence improperly a government agency or official
  • Forged signature of client’s wife to mortgages
  • Fraudulent notarized signature of client’s wife

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Todd by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in Alabama are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Todd was never criminally charged with forgery or fraud.

As we speak (ca. September 2016), Todd practices in Talladega, Alabama.
