Attorney Billy Sams of Oak Ridge, TN; liar, repeat offender

 

The state of Tennessee presented Billy Paul Sams with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School.

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Billy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to timely file briefs in two difference criminal cases
  • Found in contempt for failure to file briefs on behalf of clients
  • Sentenced to 10 days in jail on contempt charge

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

Billy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Promised client he could get him transferred to Veterans Hospital as result of being diagnosed as a diabetic and because he had trouble maintaining his sugar level if he paid Billy $1500
  • After collecting $1500, Billy failed to have client transferred to VA hospital
  • Failed to respond to client inquiries
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Billy!)

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

As we speak (ca. September 2016), Billy practices at 105 West Tennessee Avenue in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
