Virginia Mayor Richard Silverthorne: Today’s “Public Official Misfit” Award Winner

Dick is the mayor of Fairfax, Virginia, a wealthy suburb of Washington, DC. In addition, he is also a substitute teacher in the country public schools. (Ray Sanchez, CNN)

In early August 2016, Dick was arrested and charged with felony distribution of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An undercover detective went about creating a profile on a website. Shortly thereafter he ended up communicating via text message with Dick who offered him “methamphetamine for sexual encounters.”

The Fairfax County police reported that they set up a group sex encounter with Dick, who they claimed agreed to bring drugs along with other men. Immediately thereafter, the parties met up at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Tysons Corner, where Dick was then arrested.

All that’s left now is to see how long it takes Dick the Perv to cop a plea.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Dick continues to be employed as the Mayor of Fairfax, Virginia.
